Tigh Mairi features a large double bedroom, living area, and kitchen. Owner Clare Winskill highlights increased demand for immersive stays and Skye’s popularity for intimate weddings. The guesthouse offers a four-course dinner using local produce, with views of the Sound of Sleat and Knoydart mountains.

The hospitality sector stronger than ever
📈 Wyndham Hotels & Resorts witnessed a 4% room growth in the first half of 2025, with 229 development contracts indicating a 40% increase year-over-year. Ancillary revenues surged by 19%, and net income rose by 1% in Q2 2025. Despite a 3% global RevPAR dip, international markets saw upturns of 7% in EMEA and 18% in Latin America. The company's strong financial position enabled $109 million returns to shareholders, with optimistic projections for the year ahead.

KE Hotels buys The Queen Hotel Cheltenham
🏨 KE Hotels acquired The Queen Hotel Cheltenham from Sutton Hotel Collection in 2025. This is KE Hotels' fifth UK property, featuring 84 bedrooms in a Grade II-listed building on a 1.13-acre site in Cheltenham town center. Savills facilitated the sale, reflecting a trend in single asset transactions, which reached £1.35 billion in H1 2025, an 8.4% increase from the previous year. KE Hotels also owns properties in Newcastle, Oxford, Manchester, and California.

Strong expansion planned for Emblems Collection in Italy
🏨 Emblems Collection partnered with AG Group for expansion in Italy. By 2026, three luxury hotels will open: Palazzo Sozzini Malvolti in Siena (38 rooms), Relais San Clemente in Umbria (52 rooms), and Masseria Furnirussi in Puglia (60 suites). This brings Italy's Emblems Collection total to four hotels, boosting Accor's market presence. 🥃 Master of Malt, a UK-based spirits retailer, is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2025. For the first time, it is offering its single cask and small-batch spirits range to wider retail markets across EMEIA, APAC, and North America. The collection features a 40-year-old Girvan whisky, a 29-year-old Tobermory for £199.95, and other rare bottlings. Founded in 1985, Master of Malt plans to release more innovative spirits, including a 50-year-old Scotch.
