Nirvana Collection opens West Court Retreat in Berkshire

🏠 The Nirvana Collection opened West Court Retreat in Berkshire, within a Grade II-listed 17th-century manor house, featuring 11 suites/deluxe rooms and 38 double/twin rooms. The site, previously a Secret Service training base and Officers’ Mess, now includes a gym, spa treatment rooms, outdoor pool, and The Dining Room and Devil’s Highway Bar among its F&B venues. Guests can use a complimentary shuttle to Nirvana Spa. West Court Retreat is The Nirvana Collection's inaugural hotel.

The Stafford Collection sells Northcote to Silkstone Finance

🏡 UK-based luxury hotel group The Stafford Collection sold their country house hotel and Michelin-starred restaurant, Northcote, to Silkstone Finance. Alf and Clare Ellis of Silkstone Finance, also owners of kitchen manufacturer Ultima, aim to enhance Northcote by introducing a fine-dining restaurant under Michelin-starred chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen and adding a wellness space. The Stafford Collection, led by managing director John McLean, plans to refine The Stafford London, leveraging Michelin-starred chef Michael Caines as a culinary strategist. Alfardan unveils luxury residences at St. Regis Marsa Arabia Island

Populus to open carbon-positive hotel in Seattle

🏛 Populus Hotels' second carbon-positive property, a 120-room hotel, is set to open in spring 2025 in Seattle's Pioneer Square. Developed by Urban Villages and operated by Aparium Hotel Group, this marks Populus Hotels' first adaptive reuse project, housed in the restored 1907 Westland Building. The property, featuring over 300 artworks, will be carbon positive, offsetting more carbon than it emits. Amenities include a café, meeting rooms, a restaurant named Salt Harvest, and the district's first rooftop bar.

Versace Mansion sister hotel Donatella to open this May

🏡 The Donatella Boutique Hotel & Restaurant, linked to Versace Mansion, is set to open in May 2025 in Miami’s Art Deco district at 1350 Collins Avenue. Owned jointly by Nakash Group and Vida & Estilo Hospitality, who acquired the 1922 Wallace Tutt-designed building in 2022, it offers six rooms, a 170-seat Italian restaurant by chef Alessandro Morrone, and a 15-person private dining area. Nakash Group also owns The Setai Miami Beach and Villa Casa Casuarina.

Tiny Pod to open pop-up hotel in MRT train carriage

🏨 Singapore's pop-up hotel and coliving brand, Tiny Pod, plans to open Train Pod @ one-north in 2025's second half, featuring eight ensuite rooms in a decommissioned MRT carriage. The Train Pod, with rooms for two, will include Murphy-style bunkbeds, air conditioning, WiFi, and Netflix, and shared facilities such as vending machines, an outdoor kitchen, and a washing machine. Located at JTC's LaunchPad, the hotel conversion of a Kawasaki-Nippon Sharyo C751B train car cost S$300,000 and took eight months. With support from JTC, LTA, and MTI, Tiny Pod aims to offer eco-friendly accommodation, previously launching compact hotels at Haw Par Villa and Gardens by the Bay.
