The SCPI Atream Hôtels expands portfolio with acquisition of The Ruck Hôtel in Lyon

🏦 SCPI Atream Hôtels acquired The Ruck Hôtel in Lyon’s Gerland district, operated by GL Events on a 16-year fixed-term lease. The hotel is near Stade de Gerland and LOU Rugby, with a 60-year lease agreement with 53 years left as of January 2024. Featuring 134 rooms, flexible spaces, co-working areas, and a 400 m² restaurant, it hosted the New Zealand rugby team during the 2023 Rugby World Cup. The acquisition, advised by CBRE, aligns with Atream Hôtels’ investment strategy.

[Update] Accor expands economy portfolio with five new hotels in Germany

🏦 Accor to open five new economy hotels in Germany by 2025 under Ibis brand family, including Ibis Styles, Ibis Budget. Ibis Styles Neckarsulm, now open with 97 rooms, offers family rooms, accessible rooms, and suites, plus a fitness space. At Berlin-Brandenburg Airport, two Ibis hotels with 114 rooms each will open in Spring 2025. Ibis Styles Hamburg HafenCity and adjacent Novotel, opening mid-2025, will offer 403 and 163 rooms, respectively. Ibis Styles Munich Airport, also opening mid-2025, features 358 rooms. A study by Accor found 88% of travelers want to reduce expenses, with 23% of Germans opting for cheaper accommodations.

Hyatt plans to expand Lifestyle offering in EMEA by 2027

🏨 Hyatt Hotels Corporation will open 14 new lifestyle hotels in EMEA by 2027. The expansion will increase Hyatt's lifestyle room count in the region by 36%, from over 7,400 to more than 10,000 rooms. Key projects include The Standard, Brussels, opening in Q2 2025 with 200 rooms, and Andaz Lisbon, expected in late 2025 with 170 rooms. This growth follows Hyatt's acquisition of Standard International and creation of a New York-based lifestyle division, led by Amar Lalvani. NH Hotels & Resorts to open new property in Copenhagen

🏨 Minor Hotels will introduce its NH Hotels & Resorts brand in Copenhagen on April 10th, 2025. The new hotel, located in the historical 1892 building of Vesterbro district, offers 162 rooms, a restaurant, two bars, a rooftop bar with city views, a gym, a yoga studio, and event rooms for business functions. Owned by CapMan, the expansion signifies Minor Hotels' growth in the Nordic region, complementing their NH Collection Copenhagen and NH Collection Helsinki Grand Hansa. NH Hotels & Resorts has over 215 hotels globally, with recent openings in Paris, Thailand, China, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives.
