Peachtree Group Surpasses $2 Billion in Hotel Development

🏨 Peachtree Group in Atlanta, Georgia, has exceeded $2 billion in hotel development, with a portfolio of 48 hotels. Starting 17 years ago with a $10 million Fairfield Inn in Alabama, the company has grown, marking recent achievements like topping out a beachfront hotel in Gulf Shores, Alabama, and breaking ground on a dual-branded hotel in Uptown Dallas, Texas in August 2024. Their dual-branded Marriott development in Dallas features 264 rooms, while a Tru by Hilton in Huntsville is set to open in Q4 2025, and a beachfront Embassy Suites in Alabama is due in summer 2025. Ten hotels have been opened in Qualified Opportunity Zones (QOZ) with five under construction and three in the pipeline, reflecting Peachtree's commitment to economic development in underserved areas.

Drury Plaza Hotel College Station Opens

🏨 The Drury Plaza Hotel College Station, the 18th Drury Hotel in Texas, opened in 2025 near Texas A&M University. It features 160 guestrooms, 1,100 square feet of meeting space, free hot breakfast, 5:30 Kickback snacks, WiFi, parking, an indoor pool, and 24-hour business and fitness centers. The hotel employs 50 staff, led by General Manager Matilda Harmon. Drury Hotels plans three more openings in 2025. The hotel's Meetings with More program offers flexible event planning with no F&B minimums.

HVMG Launches Third-Party Project Manager: Elevate Renovations + Development

Hotel Continental Reopens as Tapestry Collection by Hilton Property

Located in Collins Waterfront Architectural District, it's under two miles from the Miami Beach Convention Center and features curated art by Danny O’Connor and T.S. Harris. Hampton Inn Columbia Downtown Historic District Completes Renovation

🏡 Hampton Inn Columbia Downtown Historic District in Greenville, South Carolina, managed by Hospitality America and owned by Windsor Aughtry, completes property-wide renovation. The hotel, now with a new North American prototype design, has updated all guestrooms and public spaces, doubled fitness center size, and added an outdoor patio with fireplace. This marks the 14th Hilton hotel in Hospitality America's portfolio and one of five managed in South Carolina. Renovations include a redesigned front desk, localized feature wall, multi-use space, multi-functional task tables, improved bathroom design, enhanced natural light, and in-room storage solutions, with design by AK Design Group of Brentwood, Tennessee. The hotel maintains "Sleep Happy Experience" and introduces seasonal flavors to their "Hampton Waffle" breakfast. New technology includes Hilton's Connected Room Technology for personalized guest experiences.

CoStar: U.S. Hotel Industry Continues Mixed Yearly Performance Comparisons

📅 In Washington D.C., U.S. hotel industry reports mixed year-over-year data as of Jan. 25, 2025, with occupancy at 54.3% (a decrease of 3.4%), ADR at $154.21 (an increase of 3.4%), and RevPAR at $83.74 (a decrease of 0.2%). Los Angeles had the largest occupancy gain of 6%, reaching 68.7%. Due to the presidential inauguration, Washington D.C. experienced the highest ADR and RevPAR increases, up 78.0% ($285.56) and 86.8% ($169.23) respectively. In contrast, Chicago and Seattle saw significant RevPAR declines, down 34.0% ($52.88) and 11.9% ($80.19).

Preferred Hotels & Resorts Adds 11 New Properties to Its Global Portfolio

Hilton Launches New Initiative, Releases Meetings and Events Trends Report

Over 1,000 U.S. adults planning to attend work meetings or events in the next two years participated in the survey.
