New Report Finds Operators Improve Labor Efficiency Amid Rising Wages and Softer Revenue

Headcount grew 4%-9%, but hours per occupied room fell 7%-15%, enhancing productivity. Revenue targets set at 14.1% growth, actual ADR down 1.9%-2.4%. Guest services, housekeeping, and management efficiency improved. Room attendants were 5.5% faster, guest service reps 12.7%, AGMs and GMs ~14%. Extended Stay hotels had the lowest labor intensity (1.30 hours/room).
