The World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance, Iberostar Hotels & Resorts, the Sustainable Markets Initiative, and Systemiq produced the 'Decarbonising hotel food systems' report. The industry, causing 1% of food production emissions and 3% of food waste, is urged to use procurement and energy optimization to drive change. Innovative technologies like AI waste-tracking can reduce waste by up to 50%. The White Paper, backed by the Sustainable Markets Initiative founded by King Charles III in 2020, promotes AI for food covers estimation and encourages sustainable practices. The findings were presented at the Alliance's Annual Summit in the US, to members representing over 55,000 hotels and 300 brands.

Best and worst airlines of 2024: AirHelp…

✈ Brussels Airways was awarded the title of "world’s best airline of 2024" by AirHelp, which ranked 109 leading airlines based on punctuality, customer opinion, and claim processing, using data from 1 January to 31 October 2024. Brussels Airways scored 8.12 overall with 8.7 in claim processing. Qatar Airways followed closely with a score of 8.11. United Airlines and American Airlines both scored 8.04. Tunisair was rated the worst with 3.63, and UK's Virgin Atlantic led at 30th with 6.94, while British Airways improved to 33rd with 8.3 in customer opinion.
