🏨 Miami Beach, Florida's Hotel Continental reopened as the first Tapestry Collection by Hilton property after a $44 million purchase by Spot On Ventures. The five-story, 100-room hotel, managed by Highgate, offers a midcentury-modern design and includes social spaces, a MiMo pool, and a 34-foot luxury Chris-Craft Launch. Located in Collins Waterfront Architectural District, it's under two miles from the Miami Beach Convention Center and features curated art by Danny O’Connor and T.S. Harris. Guests can enjoy Mixer Lounge, Divebar, and on-site Piola pizzeria.

🏨 In South Carolina, Raines added Fairfield Inn & Suites Whitsett Greensboro East to its management portfolio, the third hotel managed for Clarendon Properties. This 102-key hotel in Whitsett, North Carolina, offers amenities including WiFi and an indoor pool, and caters to both business and leisure travelers with proximity to major cities and attractions like Elon University. In 2024, Raines expanded its portfolio by more than 20 properties, including 16 hotels with Atlantic Hotels Group.

🏨 Hyatt to open two hotels in Leeds on March 10, 2025, with a £62.7 million investment. The Hyatt Place and Hyatt House brands will feature a combined 305 units – 217 rooms and 88 studios/suites. Facilities include a fitness center and meeting space, located at Sovereign Square near the train station.

🏨 The Shelborne by Proper in Miami Beach, set to reopen on May 1 after a $100 million renovation, operated by Proper Hospitality, features 251 rooms including ocean-view suites and villas. The property, originating from 1940, has been updated with Miami Art Deco and Miami Modernism designs by ADC Atelier. The highlight includes a 1,700-square-foot penthouse suite. Partnering with Michelin-starred Chef Abram Bissell, the hotel offers a signature restaurant and various bars, alongside 30,000 square feet of event space.

🏡 The Social Hub opens its second Florence location on February 1. The Social Hub Belfiore, costing €150 million and spanning 80,000-square-meters, offers a rooftop garden, Olympic pool, and Tuscany's largest coworking space. Located in San Jacopino near the historic center, the 550-room hotel blends hotel, coworking, and event spaces, including a 7,000-square-meter rooftop garden and 300+ guest conference facility. It also features gym, shopping, and 3,500 plants on the rooftop. The Social Hub is a B Corporation, hosting 600+ events yearly and aiming to revitalize neighborhoods.

🏡 Preferred Hotels & Resorts added 11 new member properties from Oct. 1 to Dec. 31, 2024, marking their largest growth since 2019. CEO Lindsey Ueberroth highlighted the unique travel experiences and locations of these luxury independent hotels. Among the new properties are Gamboa Rainforest Reserve in Panama, Hotel Magnolia in Chile, Aurika Udaipur in India, and L’Ermitage Beverly Hills in California. Many join the I Prefer Hotel Rewards program.

🦒 Chester Zoo's new luxury lodge, The Reserve, opens August 2025, welcoming guests starting mid-August with bookings from 29 January. The UK destination features safari-style accommodation, exclusive animal encounters, and supports conservation efforts for endangered species. The Reserve offers 51 sustainable lodges, variously accommodating 2-6 people, with lakeside and savannah views, and includes a restaurant, bar, and private zoo access. 🏖 Delaware North transitioned its Squire Resort at the Grand Canyon to The Squire at Grand Canyon, a Holiday Inn Resort, joining the IHG Hotels & Resorts brand. Located in Tusayan, Arizona, The Squire is now one of three Delaware North properties under IHG, alongside Holiday Inn Estes Park in Colorado and Holiday Inn West Yellowstone in Montana. The Squire features 322 rooms, multiple dining options, resort-style pools, a fitness center, and a bowling and arcade area. The resort is a two-minute drive from the South Rim entrance of the Grand Canyon National Park.

🏡 Mason & Fifth will start bookings on January 28th for its Westbourne Park location, set to open in June 2025 in London. This largest location offers 332 studios, including kitchenette-equipped and 'Out & About' options. Design collaborations include Jan Hendzel chopping boards and Jay Achillies furniture. Nicholas Daley is styling the House Team. Amenities include The Grounding wellness facility with a pool, sauna/steam rooms, and gym, complemented by a cultural programme and partnership with Dazed Club for artist residencies. Meadow, a workspace for 120 creatives, opens in June with affordable memberships for local groups. Canal restaurant & bar will feature seasonal, sustainable dishes. Additional local partnerships aim to foster a community ecosystem. An all-new guesthouse will also launch in Belsize Park.

🏨 IHG Hotels & Resorts' Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio includes six brands that make up 20% of its global pipeline, a near doubling in five years. More than 900 hotels are open or in development, with over 260 in the Americas. In the region, Six Senses debuted last year and plans openings in 2028 for Telluride and Riverstone Estate. Regent Hotels returned to the Americas with Regent Santa Monica Beach. InterContinental has 226 open and 97 pipeline hotels, with new Americas properties opening in early 2025. Vignette Collection aims for 100 hotels in 10 years, with Yours Truly DC recently opened in the Americas. Kimpton has 135 hotels open or planned, while Hotel Indigo operates 162 properties with 128 in development. IHG's loyalty program accounts for nearly 70% of room nights in the Americas.
