🍻 Ste Marie designed the Meo cocktail bar and restaurant in Vancouver's Chinatown with a 1970s and '80s Hong Kong theme, featuring pink hues, floral patterns, and red accents. Inspired by photographer Greg Girard, the dimly lit space evokes nostalgia with elements like Guzzini pendant lights and an old-school jukebox. Decor items were thrifted from Taiwan, including a Persian cat portrait and a vinyl mural. Ste Marie has offices in Vancouver and Toronto, and their work includes various hospitality projects.

🏨 Choice Hotels International opened three Cambria Hotels in Imperial, California; Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; Spokane, Washington, and announced two groundbreakings for O’Fallon, Missouri and Bend, Oregon. The company added 18 Cambria properties in two years and has 62 in the pipeline, including a New York Times Square location opening in 2025. Their upscale portfolio expanded with the acquisition of Radisson Americas Hotels Americas in 2022. Newly opened hotels feature amenities like meeting spaces ranging from 738 to 2,050 square feet and on-site dining. Upcoming properties in Missouri and Oregon, opening in 2026, will offer 118 and 131 rooms respectively.

Peter Island Resort in the British Virgin Islands to reopen on December 1, after 2014 closure, with new rooms, suites, villas, yacht club, and 10,000-square-foot spa.

🍝 Tom Goddard is launching Southern Soul this week inside Canteen, a food hall at Greenwich Peninsula. Southern Soul features low ‘n’ slow smoked meats, homemade buns, pickles, and sauces. The menu includes oak smoked pork belly rib, Applewood smoked chicken thigh, smoked and pulled beef brisket, and oak smoked beetroot, all served with fresh buns and homemade dipping sauces. Canteen, which opened in summer 2021, hosts six street food kitchens and is part of Greenwich Peninsula’s Design District.

🏙 Viceroy announced a global brand relaunch in New York to reposition as a travel authority, focusing on storytelling and immersive guest experiences. Jessica Luzzi, the senior vice president of brand marketing, highlights the importance of authentic cultural experiences for luxury travelers. 🍽 Hera, a Greek restaurant with a 200-cover dining room and cocktail lounge, will open in Stratford Cross development opposite the new V&A Museum in Spring 2026. 🏨 In Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the 79-room Fairfield Inn and Suites Bay City Texas has been added to Dimension Hospitality's managed hotel portfolio. The property features a heated outdoor pool, complimentary breakfast, WiFi, and a lobby space. Dimension Hospitality, specializing in Marriott branded hotels, aims to leverage their expertise and regional knowledge for the property's long-term success. The hotel, catering to both business and leisure travelers, is located near downtown Bay City with proximity to Matagorda Beach, Rio Colorado Golf Course, and several companies like STP, Tenaris, OXEA, Phillips 66, and Equistar, as well as Matagorda County Museum and the regional medical center.
