🏨 Choice Hotels collaborates with Faranda Hotels & Resorts, adding 8 hotels with over 700 rooms to Spain's Ascend Hotel Collection. Six hotels are now bookable, including the beachfront Faranda Hotel Rias Altas in A Coruña. Total partnership encompasses 22 hotels and roughly 2,400 rooms. Two additional hotels to open in summer 2025, joining properties across Galicia, Asturias, and Cantabria. Guests can earn rewards through the Choice Privileges program with over 66 million members.

🥃 Shelley Sandzer secured debut space for whiskey lounge bar and restaurant, Odyssey, at 1 Hoxton Square, London. Spanning 3,000 sq ft, Odyssey features a two-floor layout with 190 covers, over 600 bourbon varieties—the largest collection outside the U.S.—and a vegan ‘Whiskey Sour’ on draft. The venue aims to sell its branded whiskey aged onsite and complements Shoreditch's diverse night-time economy. Recent Shelley Sandzer deals include Wingstop UK and Heavenly Desserts' new units in Ealing.

🏖 Hilton will open The Sens Cancun Adults Only All-Inclusive Resort, Tapestry by Hilton, in Cancun's hotel zone in 2026 after a complete renovation. It's one of over 10 new Hilton deals in Mexico this year, adding to its 15 all-inclusive Mexican properties. Sofitel's fourth Egyptian hotel, Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile, will open in January 2025 with 615 rooms and over 2,000 square meters of event space. The U.S. hotel industry saw a year-over-year occupancy increase of 4.5% to 69%, ADR rise of 4.6% to $168.69, and RevPAR growth of 9.3% to $116.32. Tampa occupancy surged by 28.1% due to Hurricane Milton, while New Orleans led in ADR and RevPAR growth, largely due to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. Noble Investment Group acquired Courtyard by Marriott Indianapolis | Fishers and Hyatt House & Hyatt Place Indianapolis | Fishers in the burgeoning Fishers District.

🌇 Preferred Hotels & Resorts added 24 new member properties to its portfolio between July 1 and September 30, 2024, across 14 countries. CEO Lindsey Ueberroth highlighted the expansion of their luxury independent properties, which include destinations from Nicaragua to Bangkok. The additions feature various collections such as Legend, Lifestyle, L.V.X., and Preferred Residences. Many participate in I Prefer Hotel Rewards, which has 5 million enrolled travelers.

🏖 The Boardwalk Hotel on Lake Anna by Kasa, a 34-room boutique hotel including two multiple-bedroom suites, opened in Lake Anna, Virginia, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 25. The hotel boasts tech-enhanced amenities, lakefront leisure activities such as pontoon, jet ski, kayak, and paddleboard rentals, and is situated near dining and entertainment options. Reef Capital Partners improved local infrastructure with private septic and drain field upgrades. Kasa facilitates a modern hospitality experience with virtual check-in and out, and a Virtual Front Desk.

🛒 Tru by Hilton launched its first hotel in Colombia, Tru by Hilton Cali Sur, signifying a key milestone in the brand's growth in the Caribbean and Latin America. Managed by Hoteles MS and situated in Bochalema Plaza, Cali, the hotel offers 98 modern rooms along with amenities such as a gym, free Wi-Fi, social spaces, a 24/7 market, and a complimentary "Top It" breakfast bar. Joining the Hilton Honors program, guests can enjoy benefits like flexible payment options, exclusive discounts, and contactless check-in via the Hilton Honors app. Following its 2023 debut in Mexico and Brazil, Tru by Hilton plans 20 more hotels in the region, including Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Puerto Rico. Hilton has over 225 hotels across the Caribbean and Latin America, with 20 in Colombia and a pipeline of more than 170 in development.

🏖️ Saltaire Hotels opened Sun Lodge in Peru, VT, at the base of Bromley Mountain, offering lodge-style living and outdoor activities like skiing, hiking, and more. The property, formerly The Lodge at Bromley, is now managed by Migis Hotel Group and features complete refurbishment. Celebrating 50 years, Sun Lodge provides views of Bromley, Stratton, and Magic Mountains, with rooms offering amenities such as plush bedding and Salt & Stone Bath Amenities. The food program includes a signature restaurant, The Trailhead, serving locally sourced ingredients. Sun Lodge is also set up for events, offering flexible spaces, local menus, and group rates for accommodations.

🏠 Los Angeles, California—Machine Investment Group and Taconic Capital launched Hollywood VOLUME, a Tribute Portfolio hotel, in Hollywood’s Vinyl District. Opened in 2021, the former tommie Hollywood has 212 guest rooms, including seven one-bedroom suites with 12-foot ceilings. Features include floor-to-ceiling windows, hardwood floors, and city or Hollywood Hills views. Amenities include late-night menus, VOLUME Cafe, and pregame packages. KA’TEEN, the Yucatan-inspired restaurant, provides live music and weekly events, while the rooftop bar, Desert 5 Spot, offers Cowboy Karaoke and other live entertainment. 🚀 Wyndham Hotels & Resorts signed nearly 600 franchise agreements in China in 5 years. The company now operates over 1,600 hotels with more than 180,000 rooms across 13 brands in China, making it the largest U.S.-based hotel company in the country. In the first half of this year, more than 70 direct franchise agreements were signed in key markets like Beijing, Jiangsu, and Guangdong. Notable recent openings include Hawthorn by Wyndham Dali Erhai Park and La Quinta by Wyndham Weifang South.
