🍴 Singapore-based restaurant Burnt Ends, ranked 34th on The World's 50 Best Restaurants list and 15th on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants list, has withdrawn plans to open at Harrods, London, announced in March last year. The collaboration ended due to the inability to install a four-tonne wood-burning oven and grills in the historic Grade II listed building. Chef-owner David Pynt founded Burnt Ends in 2012; the restaurant is now in Dempsey Hill, Singapore.

🍽 Liverpool City Council approved The Ivy Group's conversion of the Grade-I listed former Bank of England building for their first restaurant in Liverpool. The Ivy will join two other north-west England locations, expanding their UK presence with over 40 sites. The restaurant will serve from breakfast to dinner seven days a week, featuring contemporary and classic dishes. This follows news of a potential Troia sale by owner Richard Caring. The planning was facilitated by Pegasus Group, who emphasized Liverpool’s growth in premium hospitality.

🍕 London-based Zia Lucia pizzeria, founded in 2016, operates nine restaurants across London and one in Reading. Teaming up with GNF Worldwide, Zia Lucia aims for international expansion and UK growth, planning to open 5-10 sites in three years. A new Chelsea location will mark their tenth in London. Their unique menu offers pizzas on various dough types, including traditional, gluten-free, wholemeal, and charcoal. Founders Gianluca D’Angelo and Claudio Vescovo also run the fresh pasta restaurant Berto. They envisage reaching 100 stores in five years.

🏨 Amsterdam-based boutique hotel group Sir Hotels launched Sir Devonshire Square Hotel in London, entering the UK market.

🏡 Moor Hall Restaurant with Rooms introduced seven new Garden Rooms designed by agency Koto. Named Melilot, Sea Buckthorn, Woodruff, Sweet Cicely, Oxalis, Borage, and Anise Hyssop, the suites reflect Moor Hall's essence.

🏨 Dalata Hotel Group launches a new 268-guestroom hotel in the center of Liverpool as part of its UK expansion, with upcoming openings in Shoreditch, South Central London, and Brighton in the following months.

🏨 Sheraton Hotels & Resorts opened Sheraton Lanzhou Anning, marking the 100th Sheraton Hotel in Greater China, a milestone coinciding with the brand’s 50th anniversary in the region. Located in Lanzhou’s Anning District, Gansu province, the hotel is roughly 55 km from Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport and 6 km from Lanzhou West Railway Station. Featuring 354 guestrooms and suites, the hotel offers a 1,200-square-meter Grand Ballroom, five meeting rooms, and an indoor heated swimming pool. Sheraton Lanzhou Anning integrates local culture into its design and provides dining options such as &More by Sheraton and YUE with 24 private dining rooms.

🏠 IHG Hotels & Resorts announced the debut of InterContinental in Cape Town with InterContinental Table Bay Cape Town, scheduled to open in Q4 2025 after a multimillion-dollar redevelopment by V & A Waterfront. Table Bay Hotel, inaugurated in May 1997 by Nelson Mandela, will undergo a transformation exceeding R1 billion. The hotel will feature 306 rooms, 45 new guest suites, a spa, and an executive floor. Sun International will manage the hotel within the V&A Waterfront, the oldest harbor in the Southern Hemisphere.
