🏨 Meyer Jabara Hotels assumed management of The Abbey Inn & Spa on October 1, 2025. Located in Peekskill, New York, this 1876-built former convent now features 42 guestrooms, a spa, and a farm-to-table restaurant. Situated one hour north of NYC, it offers Hudson River views. Owned by Martin and Irene Ginsburg, the hotel caters to luxury travelers and events. MJH’s entry into the Hudson Highlands aligns with its growth strategy focused on unique, high-character experiences.

🏖 Ennismore plans to open its first Middle East lifestyle all-inclusive resort, SO/ Ras Al Khaimah, on Al Marjan Island in November 2025. The 257-room property will feature five restaurants, a cocktail bar, and event facilities for up to 345 guests. Ras Al Khaimah recorded 1.28 million visitors in 2024, up 12% from 2023, and aims for 3.5 million by 2030. Ennismore operates over 60 resorts globally, representing 25,000 rooms.

🌲 Under Canvas White Mountains opens June 2026, marking its first in New Hampshire on 86 acres with views of Mount Washington. Part of Under Canvas's 14-location network, this site offers safari-style tents with West Elm furnishings. Guests enjoy nearby White Mountain attractions and activities like hiking and biking. Allied with Hyatt since 2024, guests can earn and redeem points. Sustainability features include low-flow amenities and minimal lighting. The camp emphasizes eco-friendliness and guest experiences.

🏘 The George at Columbia, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, opened in Harlem near Columbia University. The hotel features 139 guestrooms, a terrace lounge, lobby bar, fitness center, and 2,000 sq ft of meeting space. Two restaurants will open in Spring 2026, and a heated pool in Summer 2026. Emphasizing local culture, the hotel is the first Hilton property in Harlem, offering Digital Key and Hilton Honors perks. Sam Martinez and Andrew Nkunku are key leaders.

🏨 Hilton, Q2 2025, US, Canada: Hilton expands its lifestyle brand offerings with the new Outset Collection, its 25th brand, following Q2 data showing conversions across 10 brands accounted for over one-third of openings. Bookings for the first properties begin in November, starting in the US. Initial locations include Moab and Chicago. With 60 hotels in development, Hilton aims for over 500 in the US and Canada. Competition focuses on support, fees, and loyalty programs.

📍 Travelodge has opened a 68-room hotel in Harwich, Essex, as part of a mixed-use development at Portside Retail Park, in partnership with The Burney Group. The development includes three drive-thrus (Starbucks, KFC, Burger King), two stores (Howdens, Screw Fix), an Air Rescue Centre, and eight EV charging points. This is Travelodge's 21st hotel in Essex, with plans for 18 more. Travelodge operates 630 hotels with over 47,000 rooms in the UK, Ireland, and Spain.

💼 The Savoy Hotel in London completed the first phase of a £45 million refurbishment of its guestrooms and suites ahead of schedule. Beginning in August 2024, Edgewater Contracts led the project, blending Edwardian and Art Deco restoration with modern design, including a new river balcony suite. The second phase starts in January 2026, ending December 2026. 50 chandeliers and original features were preserved, with bespoke joinery from Edgewater's 40,000 sq ft facility.

🏨 Rosewood Hotel Group revamped its branding and website, featuring a green color scheme and refreshed logo. The site, more like a travel magazine, allows booking of rooms, restaurants, spa services, and activities. With 41 properties, Rosewood plans new openings in Courchevel, Blue Palace Crete (2026), Red Sea (2026), Calistoga, and Seoul (2027). They promote hotels as cultural hubs and offer bookable wellness programs, art installations, and local partnerships. The emphasis is on selling experiences over just accommodations.

🏨 Leaf Hospitality signed an agreement to manage and operate a 144-bedroom Hampton by Hilton Wigan, part of the Fettlers development, transforming the former Galleries shopping centre site. The project, led by Cityheart and Wigan Council, includes a new market hall, over 400 homes, and a public square. The six-storey, 5,800m² hotel, designed by JM Architects and built by Galliford Try, will open in late 2027, employing over 40 staff. This marks Leaf’s 10th hotel signing.

🏝 Ennismore will open SO/ Ras Al Khaimah in November 2025, marking its first all-inclusive resort outside Europe and the first lifestyle hotel in the Emirate capital. Located along the emirate's coastline, the resort will offer 257 rooms and suites with sea views and five dining concepts. Positioned on Al Marjan Island, the resort aims to attract 3.5 million annual visitors by 2030. In 2024, Ras Al Khaimah recorded 1.28 million overnight visitors, up 12% in tourism revenue.
