Conversely, Chile and Brazil saw increases of 11.3% and 12.2%, respectively. The U.S.-Latin America routes experienced fare reductions of up to 50%. The air travel sector, accounting for 8.3 million jobs and USD 240 billion GDP, was discussed during the IATA conference in Bogotá, June 25-26.
